Isha Ambani returned to the Met Gala blue carpet for the fifth time, marking yet another milestone in her remarkable fashion journey. Since her debut in 2017 in a floral Christian Dior ball gown, the Reliance heiress has continually evolved her style—this year emerging in a commanding, couture interpretation of a three-piece suit, elevated by several pieces of her mother’s jewellery, as Isha revealed to social media influencer Julia Chafe before her appearance.

Designed by Anamika Khanna, Isha’s ensemble was embellished with real gemstones and reportedly requiring 20,000 hours to create, but what truly complemented the look was her use of accessories—specifically, a curated selection from her mother Nita Ambani’s treasured jewellery archive.

The centrepiece of her look was a double-layered diamond necklace, designed as a tribute to the Maharaja of Nawanagar.

According to The Nod, it is inspired by the historic Cartier Toussaint necklace that was featured in Ocean’s 8.  Isha layered it with delicate, multi-strand necklace composed of pearls, rubies and gilded beads.

Isha revealed that the diamond ring on her left hand belonged to Nita’s personal collection. While her other rings were from the luxury jewellery house Tiffany, it was the heirloom ring that stood out.

The third and most imaginative detail of Isha’s ensemble was a vintage saree pin, reimagined as a waist accessory. Repurposing the piece from her mother’s locker, she gave it a fresh, fashion-forward twist—adding a regal touch to her modern silhouette.

The Met Gala, short for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, is an annual fundraising event held in New York City to benefit the museum’s Costume Institute. It marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s yearly fashion exhibition.
