Anti-rabies vaccine ‘available’ at Aam Aadmi Clinics in Hoshiarpur dist

Anti-rabies vaccine is available in all the Aam Aadmi Clinics of Hoshiarpur district. The aim of this public health initiative is to prevent the spread of rabies and provide timely care to all animal bite victims.

Giving information about this, Civil Surgeon Dr Pawan Kumar said, “Anti-rabies vaccine is available at 73 Aam Aadmi Clinics under the Health Department. Now, the people of the district will not have to go far hospitals to get anti-rabies vaccine.” He said earlier this vaccine was administered only in the district hospital and sub-division and community health level hospitals. He said due to this, people had to travel long distances to get vaccinated.

He said in case of dog/animal bite, people could go to their nearest Aam Aadmi Clinic, get this vaccine administered and seek further medical help.
