Earlier, there were rumours about Varun is collaborating with his father David Dhawan to revive his No 1 series and seems like it is happening earlier than expected. Now, in a recent media interaction, Varun confirmed the reports and said that the remake is very much happening and will be helmed by his father.

Meanwhile, there was also a buzz that Alia Bhatt and Sara Ali Khan might be featured opposite Varun in this film. When asked who is likely to play the female lead, Varun said, “I can’t do every film with Alia. You will know soon; I don’t want to say that. But Alia and I are not working. We’ll do something I think after...we’ll give a little break to people because I think for everyone it’s like ‘oh they are back together’. They feel we are like friends. They play together every time.”

Well, that can be Varun’s personal thought but fans love Varun and Alia together for sure!
