Jammu, April 20
Panun Kashmir on Friday expressed concern over the demographic changes taking place in Jammu due to the settlement of Rohingya refugees here.
Addressing a meeting during ‘Kashmir Sankalp Yatra’, Ashwani Chrangoo, Panun Kashmir president, said, “The demographic invasion on Jammu has alarmed the entire country. People of Jammu, Ladakh and displaced Kashmiri Hindus are on the same page so far as the national priorities are concerned,” Chrangoo said.
In the Kathua rape case, he said, “The agitation launched by people of Kathua, lawyers and the Jammu Bar Association is justified, but it needs to be determined who commualised the issue,” he said.
“Pandits need to be taken into confidence so far as their geo-political issues are concerned. The radicalisation of the social order in the Valley has assumed a dangerous dimension and the state government and the Centre will have to take immediate steps to deal with the situation,” he added.
