25-yr-old man set afire by lover’s kin

A 25-year-old youth, Darbara Singh of Ladal village, near Lehragaga, was allegedly set on fire by some relatives of a girl with whom he allegedly had relations for the past some time.
He was rushed to Lehragaga hospital in a serious condition from where he was reportedly referred to the PGI, Chandigarh.
An official of the Dharamgarh police station said families of both lovers had quarreled several times in the past, but every time a compromise was reached with the intervention of the panchayat.
He said a police officer had been sent to record the statement of the victim, following which a case would be registered.
