300 students awarded degrees at university college

Guru Nanak Dev University College, Verka, organised its first convocation today. Almost 300 students from various streams received their degrees from GNDU VC Prof Ajaib Singh Brar on the occasion.

Dr Rakesh Mahajan, Dean CDC, and Dr Mehal Singh, founder Principal of the Verka college and currently Principal, Khalsa College, were also present on the occasion. Notably, about 3,000 students are presently studying at in the college.

Dr Harish Chander Sharma, Principal of the College, applauded efforts of the staff and students. He expressed satisfaction over the efforts put up by the students in various college activities. He emphasised on the active role played by Dr Mehal Singh and Dr Rakesh Mahajan.

Principals of other colleges also graced the occasion. Prof Puneet Randhawa conducted the stage while Prof Nisha Chabra presented the vote of thanks.
