Five hundred youth were placed in 17 companies, including Procter and Gamble (P&G), at a job fair organised by the Department of Labour and Employment at Chowari today.

HP State Pollution Control Board chairperson Kuldeep Singh Pathania inaugurated the fair and said so far 30,000 youth had been given job opportunities in industrial areas of the state.

Kuldeep Singh Pathania said more than 5,000 applicants had received skill development allowance in Chamba. Kuldeep Singh Pathania urged the youth to opt for vocational training in various trades.
