Ambala: Over 600 former students took part the alumni meet of GMN College on Monday. Dr KL Johar, former VC, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, and Rajya Sabha member Raj Kumar Kashyap were the chief guest. Bhupinder Singh Johar, managing committee chairman, and Principal Raj Pal Singh read the annual report. College magazine ‘Gandhi Path’ was also released. — OC

Ban on driving by minors sought

Members of the Bhiwani Bar Club here have sought district authorities’ attention on the driving of two-wheelers and four-wheelers by minors/schoolchildren. In a memorandum to SP Pratiksha Godara, club secretary Rajnarayan Panghal said, “Driving of two/four- wheelers by minors was a threat to general public.” He said it also caused traffic problems. The authorities should take note of the situation and keep the matter under check. — TNS
