Now, the deceased’s NRI daughter, Kuldeep Kaur, has returned from Australia and filed a complaint against the accused and her “paramour”, accusing them of murder. The police had also booked Jasbir Singh of same village.

Kuldeep Kaur, a resident of Laverton, Melbourne, Australia, stated in her complaint that her sister-in-law had phoned her on October 29, 2016 and informed that Rajwinder had died due to low diabetic attack. She couldn’t attend the cremation due to pregnancy at that time.

According to Kuldeep, after her return, villagers informed her that her sister-in-law had illicit relations with Satnam Singh. Her mother Rajwinder Kaur, somehow, got to know about it. The accused, in order to keep her “illicit” relations secret, got Rajwinder murdered in association with her paramour Satnam Singh, Kuldeep said. Rajwinder’s son has died long ago.

The police had registered a case under Sections 302, 201, 120-B and 34 of the IPC against the accused on Tuesday. A separate case under the NDPS Act has been registered owing to the seizure of 260 gm of narcotic powder.
