245 kids attend science camp

The second day of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India sponsored, a science camp INSPIRE (Innovation in Sciences Pursuit for Inspired Research), witnessed a number of activities at DAV College on Saturday.

A number of lectures were given at the college from experts. This is the seventh time that the college has been granted seventh INSPIRE project from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi.

Approximately, as many as 245 students from 20 different schools from various districts of Punjab such as Pathankot, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Attari, Bikhiwind, Beas and Amritsar came to participate in the event.

During the first session, MS Chauhan, Director Central Institue of Research on Goats Makhdoom, Mathura, delivered a lecture on “Can we have desired milk quality from animals”. — TNS
