5,000 candidates appear for joint entrance test

As many as 5,000 candidates appeared for the joint entrance test (JET) here today for admission to diploma courses being offered by various polytechnic colleges in the state.

Principal of Government Polytechnic College Palwinder Singh said as many as 16 centres were established at government and private polytechnics in the city. He said the result would be out within next 10 days. “Candidates can see their result on the website of the The Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training,” he added.

He said polytechnic colleges were offering three-year courses in civil, electrical, mechanical, mechanical (RAC), production, computer and information technology.
