“It is my first project on nature. I was deeply affected by people apathy towards nature, despite the fact that our life depends on it. So, the idea was conceived,” says Satdeep Singh.
The 30-minute film will be premiered in Amritsar as a part of the Amritsar Foundation Day celebrations. It has already garnered praised at independent film festivals in Norway, US and Canada. Its USP is the emotional connect shown between nature and human kind.
“I would say the film is an emotional story of a boy, who loves plants. It is a drama that also depicts the bond between a father and son, who are into a gardening business. The film received praised because it transforms the audience within those 35 minutes,” he added.
According to Satdeep, growing plants could actually enrich our lives and saves environment. “I believe that if you have to meet yourself grow a plant. Nurture it and see yourself learning so many new things about life, like I have. Just like a plant’s lifecycle, metaphorically as well, nature and humans are deeply connected with each other,” he added.
Satdeep says that the film was shot keeping in mind its subject. He is all praise for his child star Agamveer Singh. Agamveer was seen in Gurdas Maan’s song ‘Punjab’.
“He is a bundle of talent and has done complete justice to the role. There is a very interesting question asked to the boy in the film and his reply lifts the entire film superbly,” Satdeep added.
