“RSVP,” a comedy play by Young Malang Theatre Group, was everything a Punjabi could relate to. A hilarious satire on marriage and a fetish for the Green Card, RSVP, too, on all those ‘kabootars’, who dream of migrating to ‘Caneda”. The artistes staged the play at Kala Kendra for the full house. The play was mentored by Punjab Natshala’s Jatinder Brar.

Written by playwright Pali Bhupinder, the play tells a story of a man, who wants to marry off his wife to an NRI, so that he can get a free immigration pass. He is ready to pose as her ‘brother’ in his pursuit for the foreign immigration. Ironically and hilariously so, the satire hits bulls eye with the characters, the situations and the dialogues.
