The chief of Damdami Taksal and Sant Samaj, Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa, today sternly warned AAP leadership and other political leaders for dragging the name of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale for their petty political gains and to fulfil their lust for power.

In a statement here today, Sant Harnam Singh Khalsa said before issuing any statement, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership and others should also know about the religious history of Damdami Taksal, which was founded on the principles enshrined by Guru Gobind Singh. The first chief of the organization was Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed, he added.

Khalsa said AAP was trying to garner public support through misleading propaganda just for political gains. He urged the Sikh community to keep a watch over conspiracies being hatched by AAP. He said AAP was trying to destabilize the hard-earned peace of the state by issuing misleading statements.

The Damdami Taksal chief said, “If a political party vigorously takes up issues and interests of Punjab and Sikh Raj, they are wholeheartedly welcome in the state. A party like AAP has no concern with such serious issues of the state and Sikh community.”

Khalsa also asked AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal to clear his stand on his visit to Nirankari Bhawan. He urged the community to beware of the deliberate attempts of AAP against the Sikh community.
