Euphoric about her film, Saisha (6), who has worked earlier in films like ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ and Punjabi film ‘Welcome to New York’, said her character might be small, but the opportunity was big.
“I liked working with Sonakshi ma’am, and she used to play around with me as well. We also got a picture clicked together,” said the young actor, who is a student of DAV Public School. Inclined towards acting at a tender age, Saisha’s mother Rekha shared that she did theatre actively with Alfaaz Theatre Group and was also a sufi singer.
“She has keen interest in creative arts and we have only supported her. She aspires to become an actor as she grows up,” said Rekha.
Another rising star from city, Divjot, will be seen playing the role of Sonkshi Sinha’s younger sister in the film. Beginning her acting career with music videos and Punjabi films, Divjot is glad to have bagged the role in her first Bollywood film.
“It is a window for me as a performer. I play the character called ‘Chinki’, who is Sonakshi’s sister. It was a big deal for me to work along side such a talented actor,” said Divjot.
The film is being helmed by Bhushan Kumar and Mrigdeep Singh Lama and directed by Shilpi Das Gupta.
