Adolescence problems discussed

A seminar on adolescence problems was organised at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar. Dr Monika Maheshwari and Dr Ashwani Sahni from Apollo Cradle were the speakers.

Separate sessions were organised for girls and boys. Dr Monika Maheshwari addressed the girls and talked about the adolescence problems in females. She said adolescence was a crucial stage of life where they undergo hormonal changes.

Dr Ashwani Sahni, while addressing boys, said obesity, a chronic disease, created havoc in one’s body. He asserted that with conscientious efforts, reasonable diet and daily exercise people can control their weight. Principal Neera Sharma thanked the guests. She said students should participate in sport activities. — TNS
