Nearly 150 alumni attended ‘Alumni Meet 2019’ at BBK DAV College for Women on Thursday. ‘Award of Honour’ was presented to 55 distinguished alumni serving in varied fields like education, business, sports, media and administration.
Dr Suman Sharma, associate professor (retd), Gayatri Peshawaria, entrepreneur, Gayatri Gourmet, Rajwant Kaur, assistant sub-inspector, among others attended the meet.
Feeling nostalgic, some of them shared their exquisite moments spent in college and attributed their success to college and its faculty.
Kajal, assistant training and placement officer with engineering college, said, “My journey with college began in 2011. This college gave me so many opportunities.”
“I always miss the moments spent here with my friends. Journalism department has played a huge role in helping me reach my goal. I feel gratitude and honoured by my college,” added Upasana, music, public relation manager, Balle Balle TV.
College principal Pushpinder Walia said, “It was a matter of great pride to hear the success stories of former students. Alumni meet is a link between past, present and future.”
College vice-principal and dean alumni Dr Neenu Malhotra addressed the illustrious gathering and wished them greater success in future.
