Most of us have heard the phrase “Third time’s the charm”. City-based Ashima Arora is sure to perform keeping it in mind while she competes with fellow contestants on the popular culinary show “Masterchef” fifth season.
After successful contestants Jyoti Arora and Drishti Nanda, young Ashima has made it to the top 16, while impressing in the prelims. She is confident that her culinary skills will be highlighted on national television.
“Running her own business of customised cakes and deserts from home, Ashima has a background in hotel management. She has worked for Imperial Hotel and The Taj Palace in Delhi. She also established her own venture “Sugar Sugar”,” said her father Robin Arora.
Ashima wants to become a patisserie chef and dreams of opening her own dessert bar/café one day. This will be the third time an Amritsari will be seen competing in the show, which was launched to fulfil dreams of many aspiring chefs.
“With mentors chef Vikas Khanna, who also finds his roots in Amritsar, Chef Kunal Kapoor and restaurateur Zorawar Kalra, Ashima hopes to learn a lot of new things while she lives her dream on the television,” shares her father.
