Bharat Vikas Parishad, Amritsar central, organised ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ competition at DAV College. The president of the Amritsar central branch, Prof HS Walia, said 20 teams from different schools participated. The competition tested their knowledge on Indian society, economy, history, culture and civilisation. Dr Rajesh Kumar, Principal, DAV College, and councillor Vikas Soni inaugurated the competition.

Raj Kumar Verka (MLA West) delivered a motivational speech to encourage the students to participate in co-curricular activities for the holistic growth their personality.

In the senior category, Holy Heart School, Loharka Road, stood first and Auckland Public School, Shahpur Kand, second. In junior category, Shri Ram Vidya Mandir School, Baroi, Pathankot, and Woodstock Public School, Batala, bagged the first and second positions, respectively.
