Cultural week, organised by the Bharat Vikas Parishad( BVP), Amritsar Central, concluded with a seminar on ‘Swami Vivekananda’ on Sunday.
Different cultural activities were organised to acquaint students about great culture and civilisation of India. The activities included lectures on freedom struggle at Government Middle School, Gopal Nagar, on cleanliness at Government Primary School, Friends Colony, distribution of Tulsi plants among students and teachers, celebration of ancient ‘Guru-Shishya Parampara’.
BVP Amritsar Central president Prof HS Walia said Swami Vivekananda was instrumental in propagating rich Indian cultural heritage in the world. He had emphasised that science and religion were not contradictory but complimentary.
