Dr Swarnamalya Ganesh, dance exponent and historian, performed a special choreography, titled Sadir, presenting a multicultural part of Bharatnatyam at the art gallery. Sadir, meaning Bharatanatyam, mostly highlighted the influences of different cultures on the dance form, on which Dr Swarnamalya Ganesh has extensively researched.
The performance was organised by Majha House, in collaboration with the GNDU and social NGOs Phulkari and VOA. While the dance recital was itself a revelation for city art lovers, Dr Swarnamalya Ganesh also gave a brief preview of her research and work over the years. A noted actor and dance exponent gave performance in the city for the first time.
