The two-day book fair organised by the Postgraduate Department of Physiotherapy concluded at Khalsa College here on Tuesday.
Medical Book and Surgical Centre, Amritsar, displayed books of distinguished writers, directors, historians, authors, theatre personalities, sports personalities, celebrities and poets at the fair.
College Principal Dr Mehal Singh inaugurated the fair. He appreciated the efforts of the department for organising the event. The principal also encouraged the students to inculcate a habit of reading books in students.
Besides books related to the curriculum of physiotherapy students, the fair exhibited books pertaining to research and advanced techniques in the field of physiotherapy with the majority of the collection being focused on the ‘Elsevier Titles’.
“The aim of organising the book fair is to motivate students to read a wide selection of books,” said Dr Davinder Kaur Dhillon, head, Postgraduate Department of Physiotherapy.
The faculty and students participated enthusiastically in engrossing sessions and panel discussions at the exhibition.
Dr Kawaldeep Kaur, Dr Harneet Kaur, Dr Manu Vishist and other faculty members of the department were present on the occasion.
