The Special Task Force (STF) has now started tightening the noose around those who have been sheltering some gangsters. As the police has started putting pressure on Kamal Bori and his accomplices who were arrested by the STF recently, political leaders who used to shelter them have gone underground.

It has been learnt that the STF has found many a concrete evidence against them and therefore they were trying to approach senior political leaders and police officials to avoid the consequences. Recently, the STF had nabbed Ankush Jolly who was considered the right hand man of Bori. Earlier, it had arrested Harjit Mahal, Jatinder Kumar, Micky and Angrej Singh, a cop.

IG, STF, Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh, refused to comment over this. However, he added that anyone who violates the law, supports gangsters and the STF finds evidence of their involvement during the investigations, they would also be taken to task. Meanwhile, the STF has brought notorious gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and his accomplice Bobby Malhotra on production warrant to investigate into the Tarn Taran gang war and killing of a person outside the Division B police station last year. — TNS
