Taking a cue from the private telecommunication companies, BSNL has decided to provide free roaming facility in India for its mobile customers. It has already announced free calling facility between 9 pm to 7 pm for landline users.
In a press conference here today, general manager Rajesh Kumar said, “Customers of the BSNL, who are frequent travellers, have a reason to rejoice as they will enjoy free roaming facility throughout the country.”
He said even landline users had started getting free calling facility during the night after May 1. The scheme covered all major landline plans of rural and urban areas, landline special plans as well as all combo plans (landline+broadband), he added.
