The driver of the car was teaching driving to a relative of his owner when the incident took place. The incident left the boy in a shell-shocked state.

Car owner Deepak Kumar, a resident of Azaad Nagar, said his driver Abhi had taken the car to teach driving to his nephew Kartik (18). Kartik was also accompanied by his mother. At around 5.30 am in Ranjit Avenue market, a Baleno car intercepted them and four occupants came out, holding pistols.

They threatened to shoot them if they did not come out of their car (PB-02-BY-0929). The panicked car occupants came out of the vehicle and the accused took it away.

Sukhinder Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Ranjit Avenue, said the police had registered a case under Section 379-B of the IPC. He said they were scrutinising the CCTV cameras in the area to find clues about the robbers.

This is the second such incident the past three days. Two days ago, armed robbers had taken away an Innova car of a Delhi-based lawyer, Atul Kharbanda, who along with his family had come to visit the holy city. The vehicle was parked in a hotel parking and the driver was having dinner in it when the robbery took place. The police have failed to achieve any clue in the incident so far.
