Celebrations begin as NEET results out

City students have fared well in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) results declared on Monday.
Harsimran Singh Grover, a student of Sidana International School and Wisdom Classes, secured 214 rank in the country and topped the city. He said, “I am thankful to my teachers and parents. I aspire for a seat at the AIIMS and would like to be a neurologist.”
His father Gurinderjit Singh is an agriculture development officer and mother Harjit Kaur a housewife.
Grover got 92.8 in his medical stream in the recently held CBSE Class XII results.
Another star from the city is Bhavya Gupta. Taking tips from her elder brother Chirag Gupta and medico parents — Dr Dinesh Gupta and Dr Monika Gupta, she achieved 301st rank in the country. She is a student of Delhi Public School. Bhavya aspires to be a skin specialist.
Suryansh of DAV Public School aspires to be on oncologist. He is keen on going to the US to learn more about cancer disease. Suryansh secured 318th all India rank. “I am thankful to my coaching institute — Wisdom Classes — and teachers for their guidance. I wish to take up oncology in future as there are a lot of things to be explored in this direction,” he says.
Jasraymon Batra of Spring Dale Senior School, who also studied at Wisdom Classes, secured 684 rank in the country. Other students of the school, including Suchet Kaur Dhillion, Jaanvi Tangri and Krutika Khanna, proved their mettle. A total of 25 students of SGHPS, GT road, qualified the examination. Hargun of DAV International School performed well.
Jashanpreet Kaur, Sneha Mohapatra, Shubham Kumar along with several others of Senior Study II also made their mark.
