Dr Sukhwinder, who presented his paper on facial palsy, claimed that: “Acupuncture plays a major role in managing hopeless cases as cerebral palsy, mental retardation, paralysis epilepsy and other muscular and neurological disorders.” This type of health-related exchanges would help build bonds between the two countries, he said. Dr Inderjit Singh Dhingra presented his paper on cerebral palsy in children and expressed his desire to work with acupuncture specialists of South East Asian countries and share knowledge with each other.

He said free camps would be organised in Amritsar and Ludhiana for disabled children who would be treated by acupuncture and regenerative medicine. — TNS
