City’s ‘young chef’ bags Best Jury Award at IIHM’s culinary competition

Spring Dale community celebrated the success of one of its own as city-based student chef, Karanvir Singh, bagged the Best Jury Award at IIHM Young Chef India culinary competition. The mega final of the ‘IIHM Young Chef India Schools-2016’ was recently held at New Delhi where seven young chefs chosen from across the country competed for the coveted title.

Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal, Spring Dale Senior Secondary School, said it was owing to the sheer passion and hard work of the boy complimented by the support extended by his teachers, parents and the friends, that he stood distinct in the prestigious competition. He added that the school supported a culture where individual interests and strengths of the students were identified and nurtured, resulting in achievements of the students in multiple fields where they experimented and succeeded.

Karanvir Singh, too, had attributed his success in the competition to his mentor and teacher at the school and his parents.
