Amritsar: Exhibiting outstanding intellectual abilities such as prompt thinking and problem-solving skills, which left their competitors as well as the organizers impressed, at least 20 budding mathematicians from Spring Dale Senior School won top positions in the State-Level Abacus Competition at Service Club, Amritsar. Giving details, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said students of the school competed with 510 students from different schools from all over Punjab in the event. “Devam Aggarwal (Class III), Kritavi Gupta (Class V), Divyam Bajaj (Class II), and Ananya Sharma (Class III), all students of our School, bagged the first positions in their respective categories. Jivesh Maini (Class III), Arihan (Class IV), and Rishit Singh (Class I), all Spring Daleans, won the second position in their respective categories,” he said.

Students shine in cooking contest

Students of DAV Public School brought laurels to the institute in an Inter School Junior Chef Competition initiated by Idiot Club of Amritsar, at a mall in city recently. Chandini Chopra, a student of Class-XII, DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, was declared winner. Chiraj Gupta, of Class-XI was declared the runners-up. They were awarded with culinary gifts and gift vouchers. TNS
