Cong Ajnala MLA comes in support of Aujla

Putting to rest the speculations that a section of Congress MLAs are opposing the candidature of Gurjit Singh Aujla from the Amritsar Lok sabha constituency, Ajnala MLA Harpartap Singh Ajnala held a meeting with party workers and asked them to support Aujla with all their might.

Earlier, there were reports that a few Congress MLAs had opposed the decision of giving the party ticket to Aujla. However, with the MLA initiating a campaign for Aujla, the Congress candidate is at better footing.

Speaking on the occasion, Harpartap Ajnala said Aujla was the Congress candidate and every party worker would work to ensure his victory.

The meeting was attended by members of Zila Parishad, Block Samiti, sarpanches and panches from the area. During the meeting, a few Congress supporters complained about interference of Aujla in villages. Replaying to it, Ajnala said every party worker would be given respect and they would be made part of the decision-making process.

Ajnala said it was important to defeat the BJP government as it had worked against the interests of the common people.
