Activists of women Congress workers of the district burnt an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi here today. They accused the Central Government of adopting a soft stand Pakistan even after the killing of two Indian Army soldiers.

Former councillor Jatinder Sonia, who is also the president of the district women Congress, said, “Modi has always mislead the public about Pakistan. When he was not in power, he used to claim that he will teach Pakistan a lesson. Now, when he has become the Prime Minister of the country, he visits Pakistan to meet Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif. He didn’t break his silence on the killing of Indian soldiers by the Pakistan Army.”
