Amritsar, March 12
A local clinic here has announced to provide free OPD services and subsidised treatment to patients during the ongoing World Glaucoma Week.
Dr Amit Bhutra of the National Eye Centre said the week that began on March 11 would conclude on 17.
Himanshu Sharma, centre head, said, “As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, patients will be provided with investigation and diagnosis services at subsidised prices.”
In glaucoma, the fluid pressure within the eye increases and if the condition is left untreated it can cause low vision or even lead to blindness, he said. He advised people to get their eyes examined regularly to avoid complications.
