AMRITSAR: Members of as many as seven farmers organisations under the banner of the Azad Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab alleged that police was raiding houses of their leaders to scuttle their proposed protest in Chandigarh on September 5.

Members of as many as seven farmers organisations under the banner of the Azad Kisan Sangharsh Committee Punjab alleged that police was raiding houses of their leaders to scuttle their proposed protest in Chandigarh on September 5.

In a press statement here today a farmer leader, Harjit Singh Jheeta, said the police raided houses of Harjinder Singh Tanda, Jasbir Singh Gandiwind, Harjit Singh, Bachchitar Singh and others, but was unsuccessful to take any action against them.
