Foundation stone of Radhe Krishna temple laid

Amritsar, November 1

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today laid the foundation stone for raising Radhe Krishna temple at the posh Ranjit Avenue locality here.

Local Bodies Minister Anil Joshi and other BJP leaders were also present on the occasion. Joshi-patronised Dussehra Committee North was allotted 2,000 square yards land in the C-block of Ranjeet Avenue for setting up the temple, which was a long-pending demand of a section of residents of the area.

The land has been sourced from the Improvement Trust’s property. The piece of land was earmarked for institutional area, which is sold on collector rate. Here collector rates stand at about Rs 17,000 per square yards. — TNS
