Gurta Gaddi Divas of sixth Sikh Master Guru Hargobind Sahib was celebrated with Khalsai traditions in Amritsar on Monday. A large number of devotees paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and took a holy dip.
To commemorate the occasion, elaborate Gurmat programmes were held in the city. Jalau, a display of historic and precious Sikh articles, was arranged at the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Golden Temple, Akal Takht and Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai. Ragi Jatha of Bhai Amandeep Singh performed Gurbani Kirtan as the bhog of the Akhand Path was performed at the Akal Takht. The Golden Temple complex was beautifully illuminated with lights and fireworks were also arranged.
