Happy Raikoti ready to debut on silver screen

‘Teshan’ has found his soul mate and things are all in place when he decides finally to marry his special someone. But getting hitched is the toughest thing it seems. Rahul Productions Pvt Ltd and Paras Janghu Films present Punjabi rom-com ‘Teshan’, which marks the acting debut of songwriter Happy Raikoti, who plays the titular character of Teshan in the film.

Directed by Sukhbir Singh, this film has been produced by DR Tokas and Ashok Janghu and will release on September 23. The cast of the film was in town for promotion and interacted with media.

The film stars Yograj Singh, Karmjit Anmol, Shavinder Mahal, Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Nisha Bano, Ayushi Yadav and Minto. Prince Kanwaljit Singh has also penned down the story, screenplay and the dialogues.

Happy Raikoti said this film would be like a gift to his fans. “Just like my songs, there will be a reflection of a common youth in the film. I hope my audience relates to the character I play,” he said. Happy’s character is of a youngster from a backward village, which is quite similar to his own identity. Prince Kanwaljit plays his closest friend who is there with him through thick and thin. Prince Kanwaljit Singh said the film portrays the life of rural people from various angles. Along with the story special attention has been paid to technique and music to make the film stronger.
