A book dedicated to a mother’s love, titled ‘Maa Hundi E Maa’, was released at Virsa Vihar in the presence of several Punjabi writers. The book was released at a joint meeting of the newly launched Punjabi magazine, ‘Hun’, by the Virsa Vihar Society and the Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha.

Compiled by Punjabi poet and writer Sukhvinder Singh Narula, the book is a mix of old and new, with Narula taking inspiration from various social media portals in collecting messages dedicated to mother’s love. “I used to read a lot of posts shared by several of my friends about mother and her unconditional presence in our lives. So, I compiled these messages, wrote some articles and short essays, poems and stories about what it means to be a mother and how our mothers are the most important person in our lives. The book is not completely in Punjabi as it also contains some Hindi and English verses,” said Narula.

Since he claims to be not well versed with the new technology, Narula rewrote the messages and articles he found inspiring from social media and collected clippings from newspapers and magazines during his research for the book. The book was released in the presence of Kewal Dhaliwal, president, Virsa Vihar Society and Deep Davinder, secretary, Kendri Punjabi Lekhak Sabha.
