AMRITSAR: Amritsar Central Jail authorities have seized a mobile phone from a jail inmate, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, alias Sukhdev Singh, alias Sukh, a resident of Pakka Kila village in Tarn Taran.

Amritsar Central Jail authorities have seized a mobile phone from a jail inmate, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, alias Sukhdev Singh, alias Sukh, a resident of Pakka Kila village in Tarn Taran. He was lodged in the jail in connection with a murder case registered against him six years ago. Kashmir Singh, Assistant Superintendent of the jail, said that the jail staff, during checking, found a mobile phone from his possession. A fresh case under Sections 42 and 52-A of the Prisons Act has been registered against him.
