Amritsar, December 9

The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Employees Association Joint Front today expressed their anguish against the state government and said the government was dithering on issuing notification regarding regularisation of their jobs.

Front’s convener Dr Inderjit Rana said the government had announced on October 25 that services of contractual employees would be regularised. “The employees are worried as the notification in this regard has not been issued so far,” he said.

Employees feared that as election code of conduct may be announced anytime in January 2017, they would have to suffer. In a meeting here today, employees stated that if the government failed to issue notification before the code comes into force, the association would oppose leaders of the ruling alliance in upcoming elections.
