Laila Majnu star cast in city

Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali on Sunday reached the Golden Temple along with his brother Sajid Ali, actors Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri to seek blessings of the Almighty for the success of their upcoming movie Laila Majnu. Directed by Sajid Ali, the movie has Tiwari and Dimri in lead roles.
The ‘Jab We Met’ director expressed his happiness on reaching the temple and talked about his movie. He said that it was an old presented in the modern age. “We had fun shooting in Kashmir. I feel happy coming here. It is blessing to be here.”
Written by Imtiaz, the movie all set to be released on September 7. Imtiaz also talked about his love for the Amritsari food and his favourities. “The food here is marvellous. I love the Amritsari kulchas and lassi,” he added.
Avinash Tiwari, who essays the role of Majnu, said, “With the Almighty’s blessings, I will be able to make a mark for myself.”
Debutant Tripti Dimri said, “I had to work really hard for the role in the movie. It has been my dream to visit here.”
Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali, the movie is about two passionate lovers. Set in the mystic backdrop of Kashmir, the film celebrates intensity, passion and the madness of love.
