Bollywood actors Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor are in the city to shoot for their upcoming movie ‘Namastey England’, directed by Vipul Amrutal Shah. They also paid a visit to the Golden Temple before commencing their shooting from tomorrow.
Talking about her roots, in a press conference, Parineeti said, “I belong to Ambala and coming to Amritsar feels like coming home. Every time, I come to the Golden Temple, I feel blessed. I am happy that we are beginning the shooting of the movie after seeking blessings of the Almighty.”
Parineeti and Arjun have been paired opposite each other after a gap of six years in the love story directed by Shah. The movie will be shot in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala.
“Arjun is one of my good friends in the industry. It is surely going to be a pleasant experience working with him again,” added Chopra.
‘2 States’ actor Arjun Kapoor also expressed his joy on visiting the city, “I feel happy coming to Amritsar especially visiting the Golden Temple. My mother always wished that I visit here. The movie is a love story and both of us are Punjabi characters in the movie, which is slated to hit theatres on December 7,” he said.
Claming it is not a sequel of his movie ‘Namastey London’ Shah said, “No, it is not a sequel of ‘Namastey London’. But it has a lot of Punjabi tadka to it. We will be shooting in various parts of Punjab. People are going to love the movie. It is a beautiful journey of characters from Punjab to England.”
