Maid servant 'exploited' sexually

A 16-year-old girl has accused her employer of sexually exploiting and illegally confining her allegedly.

The police have registered a case under Sections 376, 344, 506 and 120-B, IPC, against the culprit, Simran Kaur, a resident of the New Amritsar area, at Division B police station. Simran Kaur has been on the run since the registration of the case, said police officials.

The victim, who hails from Gurdaspur, stated to the police that the accused brought her around one year ago as a domestic help. However, she alleged that she was repeatedly forced to make sexual relations with unknown persons, who used to pay her employer for this. She alleged that the accused made a nude movie of hers, clicked her naked photos and blackmailed her. She threatened to make the movie public in case she told anything about this to her relations, she alleged.

Amrik Singh, SHO, said the police had registered a case and a medical examination of the victim was being done. He said the victim's statement was recorded in the court and further investigations were under progress. He said the prime accused in the case was on the run and raids were being conducted to arrest her.
