Star cast of Punjabi movie Manje Bistre was in Amritsar today for the promotion of their flick.

Punjabi singer-turned-actor Gippy Grewal, while addressing a press conference at a local hotel, said the movie was all set to release on April 14. “The story of the movie depicts the entertaining features of Punjabi weddings. The marriage is not an affair of a few hours. In rural Punjab, the preparation starts several days before the marriage and whole village participates with zeal,” he said.

“The collection of beds and bedsheets (manje bistre) for guests before weddings is an entertaining task for youth. This movie will show the romance and entertainment as a part of rural Punjabi wedding”, said Jassi Katial (JK), one of the crew members.

It is for the first time that Gippy has directed his own story. The movie songs have been sung by famous Punjabi singers — Nachhatar Gill, Karamjit Anmol, Gippy Grewal and Nimrat Khaira. Sonam Bajwa and Gippy are in the lead role while Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Rana Ranbir and Sardar Sohi will be seen in side roles.
