The organic food bazaar held every Sunday has been cancelled for the week. The decision has been taken due to the currency crises being faced by the public.
It was decided last evening that for both, farmers coming from across Punjab as well as citizens, the availability of smaller denominations currency was still a challenge. Thus, the conscious decision to defer this week’s event was imperative.
Gunbir Singh, president, Dilbir Foundation, said, “The event will be a better and bigger avatar of the one witnessed by the city. It shall take place at the same Shahzada Nand College venue, and become a fun-filled family event for children.” — TNS
