The Punjab unit of the NSUI, led by president Akshay Sharma, on Wednesday condemned the "brazen" act of one Guntas Singh Dhot, who has been "trying to mislead students" on the name of the party's GNDU office-bearers.
Reaffirming full authority to the party's GNDU panel, led by university president Jagmeet Singh Dhillon, Sharma said the matter was brought to the notice of the national authorities and appropriate action would be taken.
“The person in question has attempt to spread fake news regarding the council of the NSUI at the GNDU. NSUI Delhi in-charge Vishal Choudhary has assured exemplary action against those involved in this act,” Akshay said.
Pertinently, NSUI Punjab had last week announced GNDU council, comprising campus chairman Atinder Singh, in-charge Prabh Pannu, general secretary Talwinder Bhullar and campus president Arsh Gill.
He urged GNDU students not to get misled by such vested interests.
