To pay tributes to Florence Nightingale on Nurses day, an event was organised at the Dr Vidya Sagar Institute of Mental Health here on Monday.

The event was presided over by institute’s director Dr Savinder Singh. Speaking on the occasion, a senior member of the nursing fraternity asked the nurses to work with the same zeal with which Florence Nightingale had served the humanity.

Nursing students also staged a play highlighting the problems of drug addiction. The nurses also organised a cleanliness drive on the occasion.
