Old age home inaugurated

The Shri Guru Ram Das Lok Bhalai Society on Sunday inaugurated a 25-room old age home for senior citizens at Ibban Kalan village on the Chabal road.
At the old age home, senior citizens can avail host of benefits at free of cost. “The home has been designed to provide shelter and safe haven to elders, who are either shun by their own family or do not have anyone to take care of them. As per the mission of our society, the home will offer facilities like free medical checkup, ambulance, community kitchen, transportation facility for city tours, leisure activities and opportunity for inmates to be part of engaging community activities like langar and sewa by our society,” said Surinder Singh, a representative of the society.
The NGO has been working in this field over the past 20 years and organises religious functions and langars for needy.
