He said a speeding bus of Punjab Roadways hit his bike from the rear side near Fathuwal village on the national highway, flipping him, Joti and the baby towards the roadside but Anu fell on the right side. Her head was crushed under the rear tyre of the bus, resulting in her death on the spot.

Jagtar, Joti Kaur and their son received minor injuries. On being informed, the police reached the spot. The injured were rushed to a hospital.
