The city-based Punjabi singer, Ranjit Bawa, released his first solo music album “Mitti Da Bawa” here today. Bawa, who has been popular in the music industry for his hit single “Jean” and many others, has been doing background music for artistes like Gippy Grewal.
The Batala-born singer studied music at Khalsa College and later worked in the Punjabi music industry for five years. His album comprises ten tracks, all representing different genres of music. Bawa said he worked hard for two years to come up with this album. “At a time when singles rule the music industry, a music album with ten tracks means a lot of experimentation had to be done. I have tried to justify all the popular entertainment genres of music like romantic, peppy dance numbers. Love ballads etc in this album,” he said.
