Virsa Vihar Society held an honorary event to celebrate the 94th birth anniversary of legendary singer Mohamad Rafi. On the occasion, artistes from Amritsar presented popular songs of Rafi that made him one of most celebrated singers of the Hindi cinema.
MLA Raj Kumar Verka inaugurated the musical ceremony. Harinder Sohal, music composer and event member, shared that the singer remains a legend for all those, who have established their name or aspiring to do so in the music industry. He said, “The celebration is a reflection of the talent that we have in the region.” The event was held to honour the most celebrated singer of his time, Mohd Rafi,” he added. The young singers dedicated their performances to Rafi while showcasing their talent in front of an appreciative audience.
The event had a full attendance with the members of Virsa Vihar Society, including senior artistes. — TNS
